Leslie Raker Janis is an experienced attorney who has practiced law in Maryland for over 29 years. Leslie received her JD degree from The Georgetown University Law Center in 1992. She clerked for the Honorable William C. MiIler in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County and was a prosecutor in the Montgomery County State's Attorney's office from 1993-1999.
Leslie opened her law firm in 2002 and has litigated cases throughout the State of Maryland. She specializes in criminal law, traffic offenses and juvenile offenses.
Leslie is a certified mediator (certified in 2011) and mediates a variety of civil cases arising in the State of Maryland.
In addition to her law firm, Leslie is a consultant for teens cited or arrested in college and assists families in hiring counsel and navigating the criminal process from afar. She also educates teens and parents through her lecture series about the legal consequences of underage alcohol and drug use in MD and provides teens with the tools to help them avoid citations while in high school and college.
